The official video is now live!
Thank you all so, so much to everyone who has been streaming and downloading Swarm, it means the world to me.
This song has been on quite the journey since its initial conception as a little tinkle a few years back. – Rolling from the hills of Sheffield through protests in LA , a chicken coop in Cape Cod and on through Texas and back before hanging in the suspended static we found ourselves in over the last year. I’ll share more on this soon, but at times it felt a bit like a dung beetle pushing a ball up a hill, until my brilliant friend Franz Von dropped by one night and took the track to a whole new level…
The making of this video had a similar process. We had started shooting just before the world screeched to a halt, requiring some improvisation.. But these beautiful visuals by the incredible @silkboogiestf @oscar.cool_ and @janvanijken bring the song to life.
Life is the dancer and we are the dance, as a wise German turtle once said. Through cycles of evolution and regeneration, uprising, dissent, order and chaos, the connection and unity of movement in nature reflected back to us. Each individual denizen of the Swarm has a part to play in the bigger dance!
It’s been such an honour to collaborate with so many amazing humans ( and birds ) in finally getting this out in the world. I hope the song and video speak something, and connect with you.
There’s a LOT of lyrics in this one, from both myself and Franz Von, I’ve put them all in the video description box.
